At the time of his death at age 34, John A. Gregory and his wife Mary E. (Mammie) operated a farm in the north west part of Williamson county. After John's death, Mary left the farm and moved into the small community of Florence. After a few years she moved her family to Killeen in Bell county. Her brother, Frank Andrews was a source of support for Mary E.'s young family after the death of John A. Gregory.
